Re: Problemi a far funzionare la mia M-Audio USB Quattro

Comunque ,continuando a testare il nuovo sistema devo dire che non va poi così malaccio. La ventola non parte più e in generale anche con il kernel LT riesco a fare le solite cose. L'operazoine più faticosa èscrivere su quest o forum, davvero non capisco come possa essere.

Riguardo la scheda audio M-Audi USB Quattro invece, non vuole proprio saperne di funzionare.
Dite che mi devo rassegnare e cominciare a cercarne una sicuramente supportata?! Oppure pensate che piuttosto dovrei mettere in agenda l'acquisto di un altro PC?!

Nel frattempo comunque sto continuando a familiarizzare con i vari programmi audoi usando la schedina integrata ,che fino a quando non devo registrare audio non mi sta dando particolari problemi ;-)

Leggendo QUI mi pare di leggere che i passi proposti sono gli stessi già elencati da as91, però proviamo a ripartire da capo (ora che sei su un sistema "nuovo" e in teoria più aggiornato): dai in un terminale questi comandi e postane i risultati:

Cavolo, non vedo l'ora di poter ricominciare a sbattere la testa su questo problema, ma pr il momento devo concentrarmi su uno ancora più grande che mi ha portato questo upgrade alla 14.10, visto che non riesco più a connettermi ad internet perché non figura l'iconcina del Network Manager nell'area notifiche, come
meglio specificato qui:

Per esempio:

# scheda sonora integrata
blacklist snd_hda_intel

Salvate e chiudete. Al riavvio, non vedrete più traccia di quella scheda sonora.

Ok, seguendo le indicazioni nel post su linuxmusicians, si consiglia di eseguire questo comando (che è praticamente lo stesso indicato da as91):

Codice:: jackd -d alsa -d Quattro -r 48000 -n 3 -p 512

Se non funziona, prova con:

Codice:: jackd -d alsa -d hw:1,0 -r 48000 -n 3 -p 512

e poi:

Codice:: jackd -d alsa -d hw:1,1 -r 48000 -n 3 -p 512

e vedi come va.
Fai queste prove prima di modificare il file di blacklist, poi vediamo (se funziona) come mettere insieme tutte le cose.

Che sfiga però. Tra l'altr oho una masterkeyboard M-Audoi Oxygen 8 che m ifunziona perfettamente dopo aver installato i driver scaricati dal Software Center. Peccato che per questa scheda audio non sia tutto altrettanto facile.

Ma in caso, una schedina analoga a questa che ho io, che però è perfettamente supportata e basta collegarla, sapreste indicarmela?! Magari la cerco usata, per capire come potrebbe lavorare effettivamente questo mio PC con l'audio ;-)

Il messaggio continua a essere una "broken pipe" riguardo al playback, non capisco se manca un pezzo ad ALSA o se la tua scheda è supportata solo a metà.
Nel post su linuxmusicians che ho postato si fa riferimento a un file .asoundrc, ma io sinceramente non so bene di cosa si tratta e non saprei darti molte indicazioni in merito, visto che sei alle prime armi vorrei anche evitare di darti indicazioni sbagliate o inesatte che ti potrebbero portare magari a fare degli errori.
Non so se ci sono altri utenti che potrebbero aiutarti...

A parte questo, come scheda io ti posso consigliare la M-Audio Fast Track Pro, a me non ha mai dato problemi (ma la usavo un bel po' di tempo fa) e ne dovresti trovare parecchie nel mercato dell'usato. Non so se è fuori dal tuo budget o se le nuove distro la supportano - credo di sì - ma prova a dare uno sguardo.
Altrimenti fatti un giro sul forum, si è parlato tanto di varie schede, una che possa fare al caso tuo potrebbe esserci giust
